Provided by AGPThe Iraqi Foreign Ministry said it has expressed “deep concern” over reports that three drones targeted facilities inside Saudi Arabia, as carried by a state news agency.
Authorities in Baghdad said relevant agencies immediately began verification and investigative procedures to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The ministry added that no activity related to the reported attack had been detected by Iraq’s air defense systems or optical monitoring equipment.
Officials also reiterated Iraq’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia and firmly rejecting any form of aggression against neighboring countries.
At the same time, Baghdad called on Saudi authorities to cooperate by sharing relevant information to help clarify the situation and support regional security and stability, according to reports.
